Sonja Angelika Strube

Sonja Angelika Strube (* 1968 ) is a German Catholic theologian .

Strube studied Catholic theology, philosophy and psychology in Bonn and Münster. In 1999 she worked with Hubert Ritt and Marie-Theres Wacker at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Regensburg with the New Testament dissertation "Because of this word ...". Feminist and non-feminist exegesis in comparison using the example of the interpretations of Mk 7.24–30 for Dr. theol. PhD. She was head of the women's education department at a Catholic academy for three years , most recently as a research assistant at Vechta University . 2009 habilitation them on the Cultural Studies of the University of Bayreuth with the work of Bible understanding between everyday life and science. An empirical-exegetical study on the basis of Jn 11: 1-46 . She was awarded the license to teach Catholic theology with a focus on practical and biblical theology .

In 2010/11 she was the representative of the Chair for New Testament at the Catholic Theological Faculty of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz . She is currently a private lecturer in the pastoral theology / religious education department within the Catholic theology department of the University of Osnabrück . There she also works in the interdisciplinary post-doc group “Peace, Religion, Education” at the Institute for Islamic Theology at the University of Osnabrück, where she deals with right-wing Catholicism and group-related misanthropy in the church.

She is u. a. Member of the Conference of German-speaking Pastoral Theologians, the European Society of Women in Theological Research, the AGENDA - Forum of Catholic Theologians, the Federal Working Group on Churches and Right-Wing Extremism and the Societies for Christian-Jewish Cooperation in Münster and Dresden.
