Sonohra is an Italian pop duo made up of the brothers Luca (born February 27, 1982 ) and Diego Fainello (born November 27, 1986 ) from Verona . They won the Sanremo Festival in 2008 in the newcomer category. Stylistically, Sonohra is based on Britpop .
biography
Luca and Diego Fainello grew up in a family of musicians and first appeared in bars under the names 2tto and Domino . The final name Sonohra was derived from the American desert of the same name and the analogy to suono ora ("I'm playing now"). Together with producer Roberto Tini they worked on their first album Liberi da semper . In early 2008 they appeared in the newcomer category of the Sanremo Festival and won with the song L'amore . Then single and album reached the top ten of the Italian charts. At the 2008 TRL Awards , Sonohra won the Best New Act category . The duo's first live album was also released at the end of the year, and the accompanying DVD immediately topped the official DVD charts. In 2009 they released the debut album in Spanish under the title Libres for the South American market.
In 2010, Sonohra returned to the Sanremo Festival with baby , this time in the main category. They were eliminated on the second evening and did not make it to the final. Subsequently, her second album Metà was released . With the EP A Place for Us , the duo presented a completely English-language publication that same year; In addition to new versions of his own songs, it also included the title song of the film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Journey on the Dawn , which was sung by different performers depending on the country.
The third album, La storia parte da qui , was released in 2012. a. included a collaboration with Spanish musician Hevia . The next album Il viaggio followed in 2014 .
