Sooden-Allendorfer Werra Valley

The Sooden-Allerdorfer Werratal comprises part of the Werra valley within the Lower Werrabergland in the Hessian Werra-Meißner district and with a small portion in the Thuringian district of Eichsfeld in Germany .

Geographical location

The section of the Sooden-Allendorfer Werra Valley lies between Jestädt northwest of Eschwege in the south and Wendershausen south of Witzenhausen in the north and is about 13 kilometers long. The eponymous town of Bad Sooden-Allendorf is located in the central part, while the former inner-German border ran in the northern area .
