Sophia Hatzelmann (born January 30, 1974 in Munich ) is a German manager and entrepreneur .

Career

Sophia Hatzelmann studied electrical engineering at the University of Ulm , the Curtin University Perth and the Universidade Federal Fluminense in Brazil, as well as economics and European studies at the RWTH Aachen . After positions at Bertelsmann as a consultant in corporate development and at P3 Ingenieurgesellschaft as program and portfolio manager, she founded ahc GmbH in Stuttgart in 2007 with Stefan Albert. As a technical management consultancy, the company specializes in project management , process optimization and Industry 4.0 for companies in the mobility and mechanical engineering sectors .

She has been chairwoman of the MINT commission in the Association of German Women Entrepreneurs (VdU) and initiator of the MINTsummit since 2014 . In 2016 the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy named her one of the flagship entrepreneurs of the “WOMEN enterprise” initiative. Since 2017 she has been a member of the board of the Competence Center Technology-Diversity-Equal Opportunities eV, which organizes the Germany-wide Girls' Day . In 2018 she was awarded the Engineer Powerwoman Award 2018 by the Hannover Messe as a “successful engineer and entrepreneur” and “role model for young girls and women who are interested in technology and who are embarking on a corresponding professional path” .

In 2019 she was appointed to the economic advisory board of Baden-Württemberg International (bw-i).

In July 2020 she was elected to the general assembly of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce.
