Amiach started playing tennis at the age of four and became one of the best French juniors. As a junior she took part in the junior competitions of the Grand Slam tournaments from 1979 to 1980 . She was eliminated in the first round of the 1979 and 1980 French Open . At the French Open in 1981 she reached the quarter-finals and at Wimbledon the second round. After she reached the quarterfinals in doubles at the Australian Open in 1981 , she was able to win the title in junior doubles at the French Open in 1981.
Amiach achieved her best result with the quarter-finals at the Australian Open in 1984 . After an injury in 1987, she was trained by Billie Jean King to return to the professional tour, which she played on until 1995.
Amiach achieved her best world ranking position in singles in April 1984 with position 57 and in doubles with position 62 in August 1989.
Amiach played two doubles for the French Fed Cup team in 1981 , one of which they could win.
