Sophie Luise of Württemberg
Sophie Luise von Württemberg (born February 19, 1642 in Stuttgart , † October 3, 1702 in Bayreuth ) was a Württemberg princess and by marriage Margravine of Brandenburg-Bayreuth .
Life
Sophie Luise was born in 1642 as the daughter of Duke Eberhard III. von Württemberg and his wife Anna von Salm-Kyrburg . She had 13 siblings and 11 half-siblings, who came from her father's second marriage to Maria Dorothea Sophie von Oettingen .
On February 8, 1671, Sophie Luise married Margrave Christian Ernst von Brandenburg-Bayreuth in Stuttgart , whose first wife Erdmuthe Sophie von Sachsen had died childless eight months earlier. At 29, the bride was comparatively old. The marriage had six children.
Sophie Luise and Christian Ernst had a good relationship, she accompanied him on trips and always stayed in close correspondence, even when he was in the camp with the imperial army. The old castle in Bayreuth was refurbished for her sake, and around 1700 two new wings were added.
Sophie Luise died on October 3, 1702 at the age of 60 in Bayreuth and was buried in the Bayreuth city church.

Her marriage to Christian Ernst von Brandenburg-Bayreuth had six children:
