The Sparkasse Hainburg-Bruck-Neusiedl AG is a Lower Austrian banking company based in Hainburg and part of the savings bank group in Austria . It was created in 1867 as a community savings bank. Founding history

The Sparkasse Hainburg opened its doors on January 1st, 1867 on the 1st floor of the community building. At this time, the Austro-Hungarian monarchy was ruled by Emperor Franz Joseph I. History of the Sparkasse in the Neusiedl am See district

The collapse of most of the banks in northern Burgenland in the 1920s made the establishment of savings banks under Austrian law urgently necessary throughout Burgenland. The initiative came from the mayor of Neusiedl am See in 1927, the communities of Neusiedl, Kittsee , Winden and Gattendorf assumed liability, the Reich Association of Savings Banks supported the plan from the legal side. In the same year, the statutes were approved and business was opened on January 2, 1928. The first seat of the Sparkasse was the first floor of the town hall. Another building on Untere Hauptstrasse was quickly bought, but it could not be opened until 1958. The building was largely rebuilt in 1978 and 1996.

Branch offices of the Sparkasse of the Neusiedl am See district were founded in 1944 in Frauenkirchen (through the merger of the savings and credit bank), in 1962 in Kittsee, 1977 in Winden and 1978 in Illmitz , Halbturn and Andau .
