history

The Sparkasse Mansfeld-Südharz was created on July 1, 2008 through the merger of the Sparkasse Mansfelder Land with the Kreissparkasse Sangerhausen . The Sparkasse Mansfelder Land was only formed in 1996 through the merger of the Kreissparkassen Eisleben and Hettstedt. The Stadtsparkasse Eisleben was founded in 1843, the Stadtsparkasse Sangerhausen was founded in 1847 and the Stadtsparkasse Hettstedt was founded in 1857. After the foundation of the Association Savings Bank of the Mansfeld Districts and Cities , the Sparkasse des Mansfelder Seekreis and Sparkasse des Mansfelder Gebirgskreis followed in 1938, followed by the Establishment of the respective district savings banks.

With the foundation of the Sparkasse Mansfeld-Südharz founded in December 2010, a large number of funding projects in the business area are supported every year. The foundation's assets are around three million euros.
