history

Due to a speech by King Ludwig I on October 19, 1832 and a request from the government of the Lower Danube District in Passau in January 1837, the committee of the district poor relief council met with some Eggenfelden citizens and traders to found the Spar-Casse- Institution in the royal district of Eggenfelden . The regional court received the government resolution to open a savings bank establishment in Eggenfelden ten days after the constituent session. After the supervisory board was elected and the definitive statutes of the Sparkasse had been established, the Sparkasse was opened in Eggenfelden on July 12, 1837. Karl Pollinger became the first cashier. On August 1, 1837, the first savings were made.

On October 1, 1845 was Sparkasse-Anstalt in the Royal District Court of parish churches and 18 July 1868, the Sparcassa in Simbach founded

In 1951, at the suggestion of the Bavarian Savings Banks and Giro Association, the Kreissparkasse Simbach am Inn merged with the Kreis- und Stadtsparkasse Pfarrkirchen. The new savings bank was named Kreis- und Stadtsparkasse Pfarrkirchen - Simbach am Inn with its headquarters in Pfarrkirchen.

On July 1, 1972, the district reform took place and the Rottal-Inn district was created. For this reason, the government of Lower Bavaria expressed the urgent wish that the savings banks, whose business areas were affected by the regional reform, should merge. It took two years for the Sparkasse Eggenfelden to merge with the Sparkasse Pfarrkirchen / Simbach am Inn on May 1, 1974, and today's Sparkasse Rottal-Inn was established.
