Spartak Petrovich Mironovich

Spartak Petrowitsch Mironowitsch ( Russian Спартак Петрович Миронович ; born June 20, 1938 in Magnitogorsk , Soviet Union ) is a Russian handball coach .

Life

Mironovich studied at the Pedagogical Institute in Gomel .

Since 1976 he has been the head coach of the SKA Minsk handball team . Under his leadership, the team was able to achieve numerous successes, including several championships of the USSR and Belarus , the European Cup , the European Cup Winners' Cup and the EHF Challenge Cup .

From 1986 he was also the coach of the USSR national team , with which he became Olympic champion in Seoul in 1988, and the CIS national team, with which he became Olympic champion in Barcelona in 1992. From 1991 to 1997 he was a member of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus and was also the coach of the men's national handball team of Belarus . He is currently (2014) still a trainer at SKA Minsk.
