Splyce is an American esports organization that was founded in 2015 under the name Follow esports . The organization currently has teams in League of Legends , Call of Duty , Counter-Strike: Global Offensive , Super Smash Bros. , World of Warcraft , Hearthstone and StarCraft II . Until July 16, 2019 there was also a Rocket League team from Splyce, which was known among other things through the only female professional Rocket League player Jamie "Karma" Bickford.

League of Legends

Investments of Team Dignitas in the North American League of Legends Championship Series , they had to sell one of its two teams. They sold the League of Legends Championship Series EU team to Follow eSports . On December 2nd, the name was changed to Splyce. At that time the team consisted only of Danish players. In the line-up for the Spring Split 2016, Martin "Wunderwear" Hansen played as top laner, Joans "Trashy" Anderson as jungler, Chres "Sencux" Laursen as mid-laner, Kasper "Kobbe" Kobberup as ADC and Nicolai "Nisbeth" Nisbeth as Support. The team finished the Spring Split 2016 in eighth place and had to take part in the relegation. The team was able to defend its place for the Summer Split 2016 for the League of Legends Championship Series with a 3-2 win over Giants Gaming . Splyce changed the supporter for the 2016 Summer Split. Nicolai "Nisbeth" Nisbeth was replaced by Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle. Since Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle does not speak the Danish language, the team had to switch their communication to English. After the change of supporters, Splyce was able to qualify for the playoffs in the summer split 2016 with a 2nd place in the group phase. This finished the team in 2nd place behind G2-Esports , which they had to admit defeat 3: 1. The team was then able to qualify for the Worlds 2016 with a 3-2 win over Unicorns of Love via the Regional Qualifiers .

In 2019 they qualified again for the Worlds via the Regional Qualifiers. In the play-in phase they won 3-2 against the Unicorns of Love, who were playing for the first time in the Russian league, including their former top laner Tamás "Vizicsacsi" Kiss. In the group stage Splyce took 1st place from the Chinese LPL to a Tiebraker after an extremely strong second week. In this game, however, they had to admit defeat. Nevertheless, they made it to the quarter-finals in 2nd place, where they met the record world champion SK Telecom T1.
