Team Dignitas is an international e-sports - communities , is its head office in the UK.

The clan was founded on September 9, 2003 as a merger of the Battlefield 1942 clans Legion Condor and Sweden Kompanix. So he was initially a pure Battlefield clan. More teams were gradually added, in July 2004 Team Dignitas was registered as a Limited Company . Michael "ODEE" O'Dell is the managing director and therefore the main person in charge of the clan.

Unlike other large clans, Team Dignitas has specialized in supporting supposedly smaller esports disciplines, i.e. computer games that are less popular at competitive level or whose community includes fewer players.

In September 2016, the American basketball franchise Philadelphia 76ers bought the majority rights from Team Dignitas.

Awards and Achievements

In 2006, Geeksnet.org's Battlefield 2 Team was named Battlefield 2 Team of the Year. Team Dignitas' World-in-Conflict-Team was nominated for the eSports Award 2007 for "eSport Team of the Year". The Counter-Strike: Source team received the "Team of the Year" award from Cadred.org in late 2008.

In spring 2009 both the Call-of-Duty-4 and the Team-Fortress-2-Team managed to reach the first place in the monthly European Cadred.org Top-10 three times in a row.

Team Dignitas' greatest successes include first place for Dutch TrackMania player Freek "XeNoGeaR" Molema at the 2007 Electronic Sports World Cup ($ 10,000) and second place the following year, winning Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Tournament at Quakecon 2007 ($ 22,000), British Command & Conquer 3 player Shaun "Apollo" Clark first place in the 2007 World Cyber Games ($ 12,000) and victory in the 2007 CPL World Tour in World in Conflict .

The World Cyber Games could also be won in 2008, this time by the German Command & Conquer 3 player Pascal "Dackel" Pfefferle ($ 10,000). Dignitas also won the German ESL Pro Series several times in the Supported EPS disciplines Battlefield 2 and Command & Conquer 3. Team Dignitas, consisting of Ryan “Hydra” van Buiten, Christopher “Kalimist” Ioannou and Thomas “Flyn” also won “Kogler finished 2nd at the Intel Extreme Masters ($ 10,000) in the World of Warcraft category . In StarCraft II , the Swede Johan "NaNiwa" Lucchesi was able to secure 1st place in Major League Gaming in Dallas and 2nd place in TSL3 ($ 7000).

The League of Legends team was able to qualify for the Riot Season 2 World Championship in 2012, but was eliminated there in the group stage. The team has been playing in the League Championship Series since 2013 .

In its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive department, Team Dignitas had a British team under contract in 2013, but this did not lead the organization to national success. The Danish roster around Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen received a lot more attention . This reached the semi-finals at both EMS One Katowice 2014 and ESL One Cologne 2014 . After a third place at Winter-X-Games 2015 , Team SoloMid became aware of the five Danes and signed the roster. Team Dignitas had to look around for a new quintet and again signed a Danish team around Henrik "FeTiSh" Christensen and Phillip "aizy" Aistrup, who played for the British organization in 2014.

In February 2015, Team Dignitas signed the former SK Prime players, a European team that had previously qualified for the Challenger Series. There the 5th place was achieved, because despite the 4th place in the league phase, because of two underage players, they could not take part in the playoffs. After changing players, Team Dignitas EU achieved first place in the summer split in both the league phase and in the playoffs, which means that the team qualified for the European LCS. However, because an organization is only allowed to own one LCS team, Dignitas must sell one of the two teams before the start of the next split .

On September 18, 2016, Team Dignitas announced the dissolution of the TrackMania team.

At the World Championships 2019 in Rocket League they reached 4th place.

In March 2008, British player David "Zaccubus" Treacy was featured on BBC News where he was asked for his opinion on the game Manhunt 2 . In August 2008, Dignitas main sponsor Intel posted a video about Treacy on the company's website.
