Srđan Panzalović (born April 23, 1970 in Zenica ) is a German chess player . He bears the title of International Master (IM).

Life

He already played chess in the former Yugoslavia . 1986 in Travnik and 1988 in Ilidža near Sarajevo , he was Bosnian-Herzegovinian U19 youth champion. In the same year he played for the Yugoslav U20 national team at the 19th Balkan Championships in Kaštela Stari .

Panzalović has been registered for the German Chess Federation since 1994 . His first club after moving to Germany was the Eppingen chess club . He then played for SF Baiertal-Schatthausen and SC 1924 Lampertheim. In the 2016/17 season he played with the SF Bad Mergentheim in the 2nd Bundesliga East. His tournament successes include the shared 1st place at the 1994 Mannheim Open and victory at the VI. Karl Mala memorial tournament 2002. He also won the rapid chess championships in Baden several times, most recently in 2013 in Offenburg .

Srđan Panzalović studied law at the University of Mannheim and Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . Today he works as a lawyer in Bruchsal .
