Srbuk (actually Armenian Սրբուհի Սարգսյանը , Srbuhi Sargsyan ; born April 3, 1994 in Yerevan , Armenia ) is an Armenian singer .

life and career

Sargsyan was born on April 3, 1994 in Yerevan, Armenia. She studied at the Yerevan State Conservatory , where she also learned to play the instrument Kanun .

In 2010 she took part in the Armenian version of the casting show X-Factor , finishing in second place. In 2012 she formed her band Allusion . In 2014 she sang the song Boat with Garik Papoyan , which is a song from the Russian film Лёгок на поми́не . In 2016 she released her debut single, Yete Karogh Es . In 2018, she took part in the eighth season of the program The Voice of Ukraine , where she reached number 4 in the end.

On November 30, 2018, she was presented by the Armenian broadcaster ARMTV as the Armenian interpreter for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 . From November 30, 2018 to January 10, 2019, songwriters could then submit possible contributions to ARMTV. On March 10, the song Walking Out was presented, with which she participated in the competition. She was eliminated in the second semifinals.
