Sirusho ( Armenian Սիրուշո Siruscho , full name Armenian Սիրանուշ Հարությունյան Siranusch Harutjunjan, also as Siranush Harutyunyan in English transliteration; born January 7, 1987 in Yerevan , Armenian SSR ) is an Armenian pop singer .

Life

She made her first appearance in front of an audience in Canada at the age of seven. When she was nine, she won an award for her song Lusabats . She learned to play the piano and later studied diplomacy at the Yerevan State University . Your major is international relations . Sirusho is the daughter of the Armenian singer Susan Margarjan , her father is an actor and director. Her first album, titled Sirusho , was released in 1999. In 2005, Sheram was released .

In 2007 she was the spokesperson for the Armenian delegation to the Eurovision Song Contest and the following year she was nominated as an Armenian contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, Serbia. After the contest she sang a song called Time to pray together with the Eurovision Song Contest participants Boaz Mauda (Israel) and Jelena Tomašević (Serbia) .

Sirusho's third album was released in 2007 and was titled Hima . It contains a title dedicated to the Armenian singer Warduhi Vardanyan , who was killed in a car accident, as well as other titles written and produced by Sirusho. It is a mixture of the styles soul and rhythm and blues with elements of Armenian folk music, which is characterized by typical instruments of the area such as duduk or dhol .
