Genealogy 2015

Genealogy (dt. Genealogy, see Genealogy ) is a multi-cultural music project that in Armenia within the framework of the Euro Vision Song Contest 2015 was launched. In the second semi-final on May 19, they were able to move into the final, where they reached 16th place.

In order to avoid political messages, the original title of the song Don't Deny , based on the genocide of the Armenians a hundred years ago, was replaced by the title Face The Shadow .

Idea of founding

The group refers to the motto of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, which is Building Bridges . The idea is to have five interpreters from five continents, Asia , America , Africa , Australia and Europe , but who have ethnic backgrounds from Armenia, as well as a sixth artist living in Armenia, come together to form a group, as there were many in the 20th century Citizens of Armenia moved all over the world, and there are many connections to Armenia.
