The Roman Catholic Church of St-Crépin-St-Crépinien in Chaussy , a French commune in the Val-d'Oise department of the Île-de-France region , was built from the 12th century. The church has been a protected architectural monument ( Monument historique ) since 1927 .

history

A church in Chaussy is mentioned as early as 690, dedicated to St. Martin of Tours was consecrated . Of the church built in the 12th century, only the lower part of the bell tower remains. The rest of the building dates back to the 16th century, where a chapel was also added.

The current patrons of the church are the Christian martyrs Crispinus and Crispinianus . Inside the grave slab for François de La Garenne († 1676), the chamberlain under Louis XIII. and Louis XIV was. The baptismal font in the Renaissance style dates from the beginning of the 16th century.
