The Saint-Martin Church is a Romanesque parish church in the commune of Saint-Martin-du-Lac in the Saône-et-Loire department in the historical region of Burgundy ( France ), built around 1100.

history

The church of Saint-Martin-du-Lac St. Martin consecrated . The choir , apse and tower have been preserved from the first half of the 12th century . The nave was rebuilt in the 19th century.

architecture

The church is a simple hall construction with barrel vaults , to which the choir and apse adjoin. The side arches of the choir square rest on columns with carved capitals , the supports on stone plinths.

tower

The side tower has a row of doubled biforias on its sound floor . Blinds with simple block capitals decorate the openings.
