St. Margaret Church (Sulzdorf)
The St. Margaret Church is a Protestant parish church in the Sulzdorf district of the city of Schwäbisch Hall in the district of the same name in northeast Baden-Württemberg .
history
The earliest known mention of the Gothic Margaret Chapel is from 1504. It was completely destroyed in a fire in 1670. In 1863 it was rebuilt as a parish church. The remains of the late Gothic chapel were reused for the lower part of the tower. According to Eugen Gradmann, there was a bell in this church from 1444, which came from Anhausen , whose church branch was the parish of Sulzdorf until 1865.
In 1945 the church was destroyed again in fighting during the Second World War. A new building was built between 1948 and 1949 based on a design by the architect Walter Zoller . There are modern glass pictures in the new building.
