St. Antonius Hermit

The Catholic parish church of St. Antonius Eremit in Ahden , a village of Büren in the Paderborn district in North Rhine-Westphalia , Kreisstraße 40, was built in 1910/1911 under the supervision of the architect Franz Mündelein and is a listed building . The parish belongs to the Büren Pastoral Association in the Büren-Delbrück Dean's Office in the Archdiocese of Paderborn .

architecture

The church was built in place of an Antonius chapel from around 1700. The neo-Romanesque hall church made of ashlar has a choir with a 4/8 end. Inside, groin vaults rest on round pillars . The windows and the uniform furnishings come from the construction period. The high altar is signed "Peter Schneider".
