St. Blasius (Langenorla)
The village church St. Blasius is located in the municipality of Langenorla in the administrative community of Oppurg in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .
history
Above the entrance portal, the dates 1713, 1714, 1806 and 1910 refer to special events or measures at the church , which was consecrated in 1420 .
It has two-part rooms, the choir is Gothic . The upper floor is made of plastered half-timbering .
The organ from 1893 stands above the altar on the east side , the pulpit is attached to the side. The altar has jewelry and the year 1715 and a picture of Jesus crucified with Mary and John and other saints .
The Gothic baptismal font and a wooden baptism from 1888 stand on one side. A gallery with flat arcades stands in the nave as well as epitaphs from the von Beust family .
The ceiling of the room is flat arched. Three glass windows were made after the First World War .
In the roof turret houses four bells , two of which melted down during World War II and 2005 in Lauchhammer were replaced cast.
The organ from 1754 was built by Johann Georg Fincke . In 1999 and 2000 volunteers made sure that it could be used again.
