The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Georg is a listed church building in Hofbieber , the capital of the Hofbieber community in the Fulda district in Hesse .

The historicizing new building was built according to plans by the architect Georg Kegel . The foundation stone was laid on August 12, 1898, and the church was consecrated on June 30, 1901 .

History of the churches

The two towers reach a height of 37 m. The richly worked baptismal font with branches and figurative reliefs from 1520 from the previous church, which was built around 1500, is remarkable . The statue of St. Nicholas dates from the 18th century. The crucifixion scene was also created in the 18th century . The late medieval churchyard portal has a rounded arch.
