St. Lambertus (Kirchrarbach)
The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Lambertus is a listed church building in Kirchrarbach , a district of Schmallenberg in the Hochsauerlandkreis ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
In 1257, a simple, late Romanesque vault was built on the site of the original 10th century chapel . The tower and choir date from the 14th century. In the new building from 1912, the west tower , which was raised in the 19th century , and the choir bay with 3/6 end were taken over from this.
Three altars date from the first half of the 17th century. A Gothic seated figure of a saint bishop (possibly St. Lambertus ) is from the middle of the 15th century. A radiant wreath Madonna from the first half of the 18th century completes the furnishings.
