St. Margareta (Teisnach)
The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Margareta (also known as the parish church of St. Margaretha ) in Markt Teisnach in the Lower Bavarian district of Regen was built between 1898 and 1900. It is one of the numerous sacred works by the Munich architect Johann Baptist Schott . Stylistically, the church represents one of the main works of neo-Gothic in Eastern Bavaria , but also shows influences from Art Nouveau .
The exterior view is characterized by dark gray granite , the typical rock of the Bavarian Forest . The church is a landmark of the town of Teisnach, mainly due to the 75 meter high steeple . The interior is bright and harmonious. It is spanned by a ribbed vault.
