The Catholic Chapel of St. Maria Magdalena in Eichenhofen , a district of the Haldenwang municipality in the Swabian district of Günzburg ( Bavaria ), was built in 1748. The chapel at Kirchenweg 1 is a protected architectural monument .

location

The St. Maria Magdalena consecrated chapel is located in the valley of meadows marked by Wall Erbach , outside the town. The chapel is surrounded by a cemetery wall.

architecture

The chapel was probably built on the foundations of a previous building. The steeply proportioned building has a tower with a tent roof and a choir with a three-sided end. On the south side there is a basket-arched aedicule shape with a niche altar in which a crucifixion group is set. The building is structured by a strong eaves cornice and colored corner pilasters .
