St. Martin is the Catholic village church in the municipality of Mackenrode in the Eichsfeld district in Thuringia .
history
The church was built in 1787. To 1799 which was pastoral care of Wüstheuterode perceived. Mackenrode has been a parish since then . Under her leadership, the village church was rebuilt in its style in 1929 . The church tower rises from the middle of the nave . Under it is a half-timbered gable . The church has a high altar , a work of art in Bavarian Baroque from the 17th century. The two side altars are also representatives of this quality.
The organ was built by the Krell brothers in 1938/39. It has pneumatic cone chests, two manuals and a pedal with 15 voices. In 2000 it was restored by Karl Brode from Heiligenstadt.
