St. Matthias (Bad Sobernheim)
The Protestant parish church of St. Matthias is a listed church building in Bad Sobernheim .
history
The previous church was consecrated in 976 by Archbishop Willigis . The tower in the northwest of the choir comes from this . Its upper floor and entrance are new. The church is a three-aisled late Gothic hall church from the 15th century. It consists of four cross rib vaulted yokes on octagonal pillars. The early Gothic choir was built first, followed by the nave in 1482 . The main entrance is built like a hall, the sacristy is added to the south. Complete renovation and roof restoration 1897–1900 by architect Ludwig Hofmann (Herborn). Extensive renovation and security work was carried out from 1959 to 1969.

organ
The organ dates from 1739 and has largely been preserved in its original form after a restoration by the Müller company in 2003–2005. It was made by Johann Michael Stumm . It has 25 registers , divided into two manuals and a pedal . The disposition is as follows:
