history

A church is said to have existed in the village as early as 1000. In 1535 the church was first mentioned in a document. Nothing is reported about a previous building. In 1539, with the introduction of the Reformation, the Protestant-Lutheran faith was adopted .

In the 18th century, the church became dilapidated and a new church was needed, which was completed in 1780. Two bells from the Middle Ages are still preserved. The pulpit altar dates from 1730.

organ

The organ of the organ builder Papenius goes back to the year 1696, when an unnamed organ builder built the pedal-less work on a Principal 2 'basis. Four registers have been preserved from this organ . In 1728, Zacharias Hildebrandt rebuilt the organ using the four existing registers with additional registers without a pedal . Other changes were made later. The last repairs were carried out in 1982 by the Eule company from Bautzen.
