Andrä Wolter

Andrä Wolter (born November 28, 1950 in Oldenburg ) is a German educational scientist .

Live and act

From 1969, Andrä Wolter studied education, history and sociology at the University of Education / University of Oldenburg and graduated in 1976 with a diploma in education . After that, he was research assistant and research assistant at the University of Oldenburg and in 1986 with the work of the High School Dr. phil. PhD .

From 1990 to 1993 he worked as head of department for universities and research institutions at the Institute for Development Planning and Structural Research at the University of Hanover . In 1992 he qualified as a professor at the University of Oldenburg in the field of educational science with a focus on educational research and educational planning .

From 1993 to 2010 he was professor for organization and administration in education at the Technical University of Dresden . In 1997 he was visiting professor at the Center for Policy Studies in Higher Education at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver , Canada. From 2004 to 2006 he was given leave of absence from his professorship and was head of the “University Research” department at the HIS University Information System in Hanover .

Since 2010 he has been Professor of Educational Research in the Tertiary Education Sector at the Institute for Educational Sciences of the Philosophical Faculty at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

Memberships

Andrä Wolter is Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Institute for University Research at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and Deputy Chairman of the German Society for Scientific Further Education and Distance Learning. Wolter is a member of the scientific advisory board of the Hans Böckler Foundation , the Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education and the German Academy of Science and Engineering (Acatech).

He belongs to the editorial collective of the magazine Das Hochschulwesen .
