St. Nicholas (Weira)

The Protestant village church of St. Nicholas is in the community of Weira in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

history

The oldest evidence is the crucifix from the 14th century.

In the hall there is an image-less pulpit altar in a rococo decorated choir . The nave has a wooden ceiling with three large pictures. Under the gallery in the nave one's community room installed.

In the basement of the tower , to a five-member spire crowned, one finds chapel-like pointed vault . Three bronze bells from 1890 hang in the tower.

The organ on the west gallery was probably modernized around 1890.
