The St. Pauli was a 1841 by Johann Marbs shipyard in Hamburg built barque .

Originally built as a warship, the ship was converted for the lucrative business of transporting immigrants overseas. The ship became famous when the first German settlers crossed to Nelson , New Zealand in 1842. The voyage began on December 26, 1842 with 153 passengers on board in Hamburg and ended on June 14, 1843 with the arrival in Nelson . The captain of the St. Pauli on this trip was Peter Schacht.

Nothing is currently known about further missions of the ship and its whereabouts.
