St. Quirinus in Gunderath

St. Quirinus is a Catholic branch church in Gunderath , a local parish in the Vulkaneifel district in Rhineland-Palatinate , which was built in 1785. The building is located at Kirchstrasse 8 and is a protected cultural monument .

The two- axis hall building from 1785 is dedicated to St. Quirinus ordained . The plastered quarry stone building has four arched windows and a choir closed on three sides . On the ge wrong Erten saddle roof a four-sided sitting roof turret in which a bell is located. The bell from 1959 is marked with the inscription “St. Quirinus for us, please ”.

The church of St. Quirinus, owned by the community of Gunderath until 1944, lost its baroque furnishings over time . In 1998 the church was extensively renovated.
