history

This single-nave village church is a stone testimony to the history on the northern edge of the Kyffhäuser Mountains of the past centuries . The origin goes back to the Romanesque . Large parts of the tower , the foundation walls and the sacristy building on the south wall of the tower date from the 11th and 12th centuries. Even parts of the former Palatinate Tilleda on the Pfingstberg were also processed. The first German kings resided on the Pfingstberg in the 10th and 11th centuries .

organ

The organ goes back to an instrument that was built in 1713 by the organ builder Johann Georg Papenius . The instrument has been edited several times over the years. In 1820 the organ builder Scheidler renewed the wedge bellows and relocated them from the rear of the organ to the gallery below; the bellows are still there today. Schilder also added the pedal drawer with the Violen 16 ′ register, and revised the keyboard action and parts of the stop action. In 1917 the prospect pipes (Principal 4 'in the main plant, Principal 2' in the subsidiary plant) had to be removed and given away for war purposes. Between 1997 and 1998 the organ builder Jörg Dutschke restored the instrument and largely returned it to Papienius' original condition; an electric fan has also been added to the protective box. The slider chest instrument has 18 stops on two manual works and a pedal . The playing and stop actions are mechanical.
