The State Archive Amberg is the Bavarian State Archive responsible for the Upper Palatinate administrative region .
Stocks
The holdings of the State Archives at Archivstrasse 3 in Amberg include:
- the principality of the Upper Palatinate including the monasteries in it
- the Landgraviate of Leuchtenberg
- the Duchy of Pfalz-Sulzbach
- the imperial direct dominions in the administrative region of Upper Palatinate
- the Palatinate-Neuburgian offices, lordships and court brands in the Nordgau
- State central and subordinate authorities as well as courts in the Upper Palatinate administrative region from the beginning of the 19th century.
The Bavarian Main State Archives are responsible for the imperial city of Regensburg and the monasteries and monasteries located in it .
