Stadeln is a district of the municipality of Muhr am See in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia .

Today the place is structurally fused with Alten- and Neuenmuhr to one place. Stadeln is roughly the area east of the Treuchtlingen – Würzburg railway line with the exception of the industrial park to the south. The federal highway 13 leads through it.

history

Stadeln was first mentioned in a document as early as 890 in connection with the Herrieden monastery . In the old days it was just a large square around which the estates were grouped. The most important houses were a Vogthaus and an inn, which was the largest building in Stadeln. It had its own brewery and beer cellars carved out of sandstone . The half-timbered building was restored in the 1960s, but burned down completely in 1978 except for the stables. Today there is an inn in its place.

Until the municipal reform in the 1970s, Stadeln was a district of Altenmuhr.
