The Stadtkirche St. Michael is the Evangelical Lutheran town church and parish church of Kirchenlamitz , Bavaria. She belongs to the dean's office in Selb .

A first church building for the Lamitztal can be assumed after 1100. The preserved structure of the tower and nave go back to around 1500 in the late Gothic style. The Reformation was introduced in 1528/29. Before the superintendent came to Wunsiedel , it was in Kirchenlamitz from 1558 to 1568.

The current altar was arranged in 1959. It houses figures from the baroque altar from 1687, which were made by Elias Räntz , in a modern setting . In addition to other figures, the four evangelists take the central position. From 1835 to 1959 there was a pulpit altar at this point, an element of the margrave style .

The Knoll family of sculptors was involved in furnishing the church around 1745. a. the baptismal angel . Ten epitaphs are placed on the cemetery wall in front of the cemetery church.

The church and the ensemble of the town center are under monument protection . The church is framed by the rectory and the houses on Hofer Strasse and Klostergasse.
