City church Wesenberg
The St. Marien Church is the town church of Wesenberg (Mecklenburg) . It is located in a slightly elevated position southwest of the market square. The parish of Wesenberg belongs to the Neustrelitz Propstei, Mecklenburg parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany .
The construction
The oldest parts are the single-nave choir and the tower, which were built from ashlar masonry around 1300. The nave was added around the end of the 14th or beginning of the 15th century. It is a stepped hall with a ribbed vault , the central nave of which was narrower than the choir. At the end of the 15th century the choir was given a star vault . A two-story brick porch was also added to the south side.

organ
The organ was built by Johann Michael Röder in 1717 for the church in Dorotheenstadt, Berlin, and did not reach Wesenberg until 1833. In 1890 and 1907 the instrument was rearranged and equipped with a second (pneumatic) manual. In 2000 the instrument was restored by the organ builder Kristian Wegscheider. It is the oldest organ in Berlin by Johann Michael Röder.
