Civil engineering

power supply

Stadtwerke has been an energy supplier since 2014. First of all, in 2014 they took over the energy supply for the urban properties. Since 2015, they have also been offering electricity for household and commercial customers, photovoltaic systems and heat contracting through subsidiaries .

The energy business began a long time ago. As early as 1999, there was a Rodgau Energy Purchasing Association (REGE) under the organizational umbrella of the Stadtwerke. She wanted to use the opportunities of the liberalization of the energy supply in order to achieve lower electricity tariffs for the residents by bundling the energy purchases. When it was not possible to undercut the regional electricity suppliers in terms of prices, the purchasing community focused on green electricity from renewable energy sources. To this end, Stadtwerke Rodgau founded a sales cooperation with unit energy Stromvertrieb GmbH from Bad Homburg.
