The majority (50 percent ) of the property is owned by the city of Weißenfels . Gelsenwasser AG (24.5 percent), Envia Mitteldeutsche Energie AG (24.5 percent) and Stadtwerke Ludwigsburg-Kornwestheim GmbH (1 percent) hold additional shares .

Stadtwerke Weißenfels GmbH was re-established on July 17, 1991. Lars Meinhardt has been the managing director of Stadtwerke Weißenfels GmbH since 2018.
