The Stahlberg Chapel in Uissigheim

The Roman Catholic Stahlberg Chapel (also known as the Trinity Chapel ) in Uissigheim , a district of Külsheim , was built in 1870.

history

A wooden cross was erected on the Stahlberg as early as 1865. From 1867 to 1869, 14 stations of a crossroad were built on the upper part of the path.

In 1870 a red sandstone chapel was finally built. The stones were broken free of charge by Uissigheim citizens and transported to the construction site. The chapel was financed through donations. The building site was also donated by a Uissigheim citizen. The foundation stone of the chapel was laid on May 23, 1870.

The Stahlbergkapelle belongs to the pastoral care unit Külsheim-Bronnbach, which is assigned to the deanery Tauberbischofsheim of the Archdiocese of Freiburg .
