Stahlkammer Zürich is a detective series produced by Bavaria Film on behalf of WDR from 1986 to 1991. However, only the 1st and 2nd seasons were shown in the evening program of ARD . In 2001 B.TV then broadcast the 3rd season.

If the rent for a safe deposit box at Helvetia-Bank Zurich has not been paid for a while and the owner cannot be identified in the usual way, the safe deposit box may be opened under the eyes of bank director Dr. Peter Jenny , Authorized Signatory Norbert Kumeron and Secretary Regula Eggli will be opened.
At this point the work of researcher Yves Klein begins , who tries to identify the owners or heirs based on the often surprising contents of the lockers. To do this, he travels around the world, experiences dicey situations and takes an interest in personal fates. He does not always like the work that he might do. a. dealing with corruption, espionage and people smuggling is easy. And so he would rather turn the police on one or the other of his "clients".
Klein was later given new responsibilities. His successor is Roman Berger (2nd season), who in turn is replaced by Carlo Stauffer (3rd season).
