Monika Woytowicz (born June 23, 1944 in Barth ) is a German actress .

Life

After graduating from high school , Woytowicz completed an acting training at the Leipzig Theater Academy from 1961 to 1965 .

Monika Woytowicz cast roles in GDR cinema films as well as in the television series Sachsens Glanz and Preussens Gloria until she moved to the Federal Republic in 1983 and continued her television and cinema career there. She has appeared in the television series Tatort , Alle Meine Töchter , Liebling Kreuzberg , Siska , Ein Fall für Zwei , Die Schwarzwaldklinik , Hotel Paradies , Anna Maria - A woman goes her way and clinic under palm trees . In addition, she played theaters in Munich , Leipzig and Cologne , went on tours , organized readings, recitations and solo programs.

From 1985 to 1987 Woytowicz played the tragic role of Henny Schildknecht in the permanent series Lindenstrasse produced by Geißendörfer Film- und Fernsehproduktion for WDR , which made her popular throughout Germany. Her daughter Ina Bleiweiß played the role of Marion Beimer in Lindenstrasse from 1985 to 1995. In the 1997 series Liebling Kreuzberg , Woytowicz played Robert Liebling's girlfriend ( Manfred Krug ), who cheated on her husband.

The actress was married to director Celino Bleiweiß , from whom she divorced in 2005. In 2003 Monika Woytowicz fell ill with the skin disease vasculitis . Woytowicz lives in Mecklenburg . She retired from the film and television business in 2005 and has been giving readings ever since. Monika Woytowicz is only available for interviews now and then, as in 2013 in the MDR report on the GDR family series Stories about the Garden Fence . Here she played the main role of Claudia in the early 1980s, before she was replaced by Angelika Neutschel in 1983 because she was relocated to the Federal Republic of Germany .
