Stanislaw Adam Sygnet

Stanisław Adam Sygnet (born September 6, 1924 in Krępa Kościelna , † November 1, 1985 in Sandomierz ) was a Polish clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Sandomierz .

Life

The son of Jan Signet and Zofia geb. Karbowiak attended high school and entered the seminary in Sandomierz after graduating from high school in 1947 . On 25 May 1952 he received by Bishop Franciszek Jop , the ordination . After five years of work he studied moral theology at the Catholic University of Lublin , taught at the seminary in Sandomierz from 1962, where he was prefect , deputy rector and from 1973 to 1976 rector of the seminary.

On September 20, 1976, Pope Paul VI appointed him . as auxiliary bishop in Sandomierz and titular bishop of Sufasar . He received his episcopal ordination on October 24, 1976, the Apostolic Administrator of Sandomierz, Bishop Piotr Gołębiowski ; Co- consecrators were Jan Jaroszewicz , Bishop of Kielce , and Walenty Wójcik , Auxiliary Bishop in Sandomierz.

He found his final resting place in the crypt of the Cathedral of Sandomierz.
