The Roman Catholic Diocese of Sandomierz ( lat. : Dioecesis Sandomiriensis , Polish. : Diecezja Sandomierska ) is one in Poland situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Sandomierz .

history

Cathedral of the Nativity in Sandomierz

The diocese of Sandomierz was established on June 30, 1818 by Pope Pius VII with the papal bull Ex imposita nobis and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Warsaw as a suffragan .

On October 3, 1981, the name of the Diocese of Sandomierz was changed to the Diocese of Sandomierz-Radom .

On March 25, 1992, the diocese of Sandomierz-Radom Pope was John Paul II. With the Apostolic Constitution Totus Tuus Poloniae populus in the dioceses of Sandomierz and Radom divided and the Diocese of Sandomierz now the Archdiocese of Lublin as suffragan assumed.
