The Roman Catholic Diocese of Kalisz ( lat. : Dioecesis Calissiensis , Polish. : Diecezja Kaliska ) is one in Poland situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Kalisz ( German Kalisch ).

history

The diocese of Kalisz was established on March 25, 1992 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Totus Tuus Poloniae populus from cedings of the dioceses of Częstochowa , Opole and Włocławek as well as the archbishoprics of Wroclaw , Gniezno and Posen and subordinated to the Archbishopric of Posen as a suffragan .
