The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Białystok ( Latin Archidioecesis Bialostocensis , Polish Archidiecezja Białostocka ) is one in Poland situated Roman Catholic archdiocese , based in Białystok .

history

The diocese of Białystok was established on June 5, 1991 by Pope John Paul II from cessions of territory from the Archdiocese of Vilnius . On March 25, 1992, the diocese of Białystok was raised to an archdiocese by John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Totus tuus Poloniae populus .
