Henryk Ciereszko (born September 9, 1955 in Hermanówka , Podlaskie Voivodeship , Poland ) is auxiliary bishop in Białystok .

Life

Henryk Ciereszko was ordained a priest on June 14, 1981 . Then he was a chaplain in Mońki . In 1983 he was released for a postgraduate course in fundamental theology at the Catholic University of Lublin , where he obtained his licentiate in 1985 and in 1988 with a dissertation on The Apologetic Method by Pawel Swetlow as Dr. theol. PhD . Then he was chaplain of the Święty Rocha parish in Białystok . From 1990 to 1995 he held the office of prefect at the Archbishop's Seminary and was then spiritual director of the same institution until 1998 and again from 2001 to 2008 . Pope John Paul II awarded him the honorary title of chaplain of His Holiness ( Monsignor ) on February 8, 2003 . Since 2007 he has been a member of the Council of Priests and since 2008 the Cathedral Chapter of the Metropolitan Chapter of Białystok.

On November 17, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . as titular bishop of Dices and auxiliary bishop in Białystok. The episcopal ordination took place by the Archbishop of Białystok, Edward Ozorowski , on December 15 of this year; Co- consecrators were Stanisław Szymecki , Archbishop Emeritus of Białystok, and Archbishop Celestino Migliore , Apostolic Nuncio in Poland . As a motto he chose In Misericordia Tua speravi .
