Walenty Wójcik

Walenty Wójcik (born September 9, 1914 in Byszówka , † November 22, 1990 in Sandomierz ) was a Polish Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Sandomierz .

Life

The son of Walenty and Franciszka Wójcik attended high school and entered the seminary in Sandomierz after graduating from high school in 1934 . He was ordained a priest on June 11, 1939 . During the Second World War he worked in the parish ministry. In December 1945 he began studying at the Faculty of Canon Law at the Catholic University of Lublin , where he received his doctorate. He became professor and prefect at the seminary in Sandomierz, then notary and judge at the diocesan court.

On October 26, 1960, Pope John XXIII appointed him . as auxiliary bishop in Sandomierz and titular bishop of Baris in Hellesponto . The episcopal ordination donated him his diocesan bishop in January Kanty Lorek . Co- consecrators were Piotr Kalwa , Bishop of Lublin and Franciszek Jop , Auxiliary Bishop in Sandomierz.

He found his final resting place in the crypt of the Cathedral of Sandomierz.
