Stanislav Gentschew ( Bulgarian Станислав Генчев ; born March 20, 1981 in Veliko Tarnovo ) is a Bulgarian football player . The midfielder has been under contract with FK Etar Veliko Tarnowo since summer 2016 .
Career
Gentschew's career began in 1998 with the Bulgarian top club Levski Sofia , where he was initially unable to assert himself. In the fall of 1999 he was therefore loaned out to league rivals Spartak Warna , where he was used more frequently in the 1999/2000 season. After returning to Sofia, another loan deal was agreed - this time with Welbaschd Kjustendil . There he established himself as a regular player. After his return in spring 2001, he was also able to assert himself with Levski. However, he did not succeed in permanently defending his place in the team in the following years. With the championships in 2001 and 2002 and the cup victories in 2002 and 2003, he won his first titles.
In the summer of 2003 Gentschew was loaned for the third time and was under contract with Cherno More Varna in the 2003/04 season . In the summer of 2005 he left Levski and switched to league rivals Litex Lovetsch . Was he still a regular player in the 2005/06 season , he did not get a chance in the following two years. In 2008 he moved to FC Vaslui in the Romanian League 1 . There he became an undisputed regular player both under Viorel Hizo and his successor Viorel Moldovan and was able to defend this status in the following years. Only in the 2009/10 season he had to pause for a few games. He also missed the 2010 cup final .
In the summer of 2011 Gentschew returned to Bulgaria and joined the newly promoted Ludogorez Razgrad . With Razgrad he was able to finish the 2011/12 season as a champion and at the same time won the Bulgarian Cup . He and his team were able to defend the championship a year later . In the summer of 2013 he moved to league competitor Litex Lovetsch , but only made five appearances in the first half of 2013/14 . During the winter break he joined the Cypriot club AEL Limassol . With AEL he missed winning the championship at the end of the 2013/14 season due to the worse goal difference. He then moved to Slavia Sofia back in Bulgaria. After he did not get a chance in the second half of the 2014/15 season , he joined the promoted PFK Montana . In the summer of 2016 he was hired by FK Etar Veliko Tarnowo in the B Grupa .
National team
Gentschew belongs to the extended squad of the Bulgarian national team and has so far made seven appearances.
