Stanislaw Igorewitsch Romanow ( Russian Станислав Игоревич Романов ; born May 14, 1987 in Saratov , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Disel Pensa in the Wysschaja Hockey League since 2019 .

Career

Stanislaw Romanow began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of Lokomotive Yaroslavl , for whose second team he was active from 2003 to 2006 in the third-rate Pervaya League . In the 2005/06 season he also made his debut for the club's professional team in the Superliga , in which he remained pointless in four games and received two penalty minutes. From 2006 to 2009, the defender ran for Disel Penza in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division. From 2009 to 2011 he played for Neftjanik Almetyevsk - initially in the Wysschaja Liga and in the 2010/11 season in its successor competition Wysschaja Hockey-Liga .

For the 2011/12 season Romanov was committed by Metallurg Novokuznetsk from the Continental Hockey League and completed over 80 KHL games for the club by 2013. He then moved to Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk within the league .

In May 2014 he was given to KHL returnees HK Lada Tolyatti in exchange for a right to vote for the KHL Junior Draft 2015 and played for Lada for two years, during which he played over 100 KHL games. Then he was briefly under contract with HK Ugra Khanty-Mansiysk before he left the Siberian club in November 2016 and was signed by Vitjas Podolsk .
